Janji Ada Gaya....

Last year, I went to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah with my family. It was an adhoc family trip, with most of our time spent in KK, shopping and driving around. We went to Manukan, and on the same day, we drove to Kinabalu Mountain Park, my dad and I taking turns to drive.

At mountain Park, we walked around the park for quite a distance. It was nice but we were quite disappointed as the clouds and mist were covering the mountain and we couldnt take photo with/of the mountain. I saw some people whom I guessed must be group of hikers... Looking at them, I wondered... "Will I, some day, get to do the same?"... but left the question to dissolve into the fresh mountain air.

On our way back after singgah Kundasang, the skies were clearer and the mountain can be seen... thus I could no longer focus on my driving. Atta suggested we stop coz he knew how badly I wanted to digitalize it in my camera. We passed by Pekan Nabalu that has sorvenir shops and an observation deck. It was such a magnificent sight and the question hit me again "Will I?"...... and told myself "maybe some day.... who knowss..."

There were lots of click and snaps, including this one bimbotic pose.
For this one, the caption in my facebook reads: "Tak mampu daki takpa, janji ada gaya"

Few months after that...... came a proposal from Zue to climb this mountain! What? Seriously? She had been plotting and planning it with Omyn and Kak Ilah was excited too when she got to know about this. My immediate reply was "YES", though I had doubts we were really gonna do this. Next 3 months followed with uncertainties, then somewhere in October / November, we had to confirm our participation. This time, I put serious thought about it.... and yes... it was a YES.

We told ourselves we need a lot of practise.... bla bla bla... tried, but not very consistent. It was not until March that we started to have goosebumps, butterflies in e stomach.... and motivate each other to really start practicing and work on our stamina... ergo the series of update on aktiviti cargas-cargas in tis blog.
Hence, the conclusions of this post...
  1. The Impossibles can be Possible if we put our mind into it
  2. Life is Unpredictable
  3. BBs can do it
  4. No matter what... janji ada gaya.... ahaksss.....

Fortunately, there's this website known as http://www.morphthing.com/ to help me in a way :P This website offers a morphing technique where u can morph 2 images... and tadaaa.. ur possible future child will be rendered and presented to u. Haha.. tak perlu masuk wad bersalin ya puan-puan.

The 3 lucky guys who made it to my nomination list:

Saya mahu menjadi ahli Kelab Colgate, pleasee

BB-romantica just informed me that she's planning to go on a backpack trip with her gurlfrens @ ex-colleagues to Europe early nex year. Diorang dah beli tiket! What bbRomantica did was very unpredictable, because it was unexpected for her as well (keputusan tiba-tiba).

I have this dream of going "backpack" with some girlfrens.. esp time masing-masing single. Locally, done that. wish list includes europe/uk, India, Cambodia and Aussie... at least one of these destinations :P~

Hehe... takper2.... ada rezeki, adalah nanti ;-) Time to earn, save more money and allocate, since there are other more important things. Need to prioritise la kan... (studies dulu) But what makes it more tempting are encouragements like... Jemputan Shimah masih terngiang-ngiang... "Kak Ina, come before I finish my studies here" and clock is ticking, and one and a half year to go! Jugak jemputan segitiga australia - perth, melbourne n queensland from 3 good buds.

Haji dan Umrah tu kategori lain pula... itu sebolehnya dgn muhrim ye dok?

While chatting with BikRomantica just now, I remembered something. My sisters and I loved to enter contests with Holidays to blinkblinks as prizes. We never won any blinkblink trips but my younger sis won consolation prize once - under LooneyToons or some sort. One of our attempts:

Kelab Colgate, anyone? Familiar? Hehe... Tak ingat masa darjah berapa ni. I wrote this and seriously, now I don't blame anyone for not winning. But this just a draft, usually my sis would screen thru and edit before we send to any contests :P

So, although not planning to travel anytime soon.. if i finally have the time, money and opportunity, any suggestion where should I go first?? :P~

Akhir Kata,
Menuntut Ilmu biar sampai ke negeri China.
(baiklah... nanti akan diusahakan lawatan sambil belajar ke sana) :P

Creamy Cakes for longevity

Thank You, Family and Friends for making this birthday a memorable one. I’ve been busy lately I almost forgot my own birthday. Thanks to facebook, some friends had started giving birthday wishes a day before thus reminding myself that “Wehhh… I'm getting older tomorrow"

Mom cooked my favourite– Raasam + Cencaru Sambal :* I had lunch with Seeta and Nurul. Seeta belanja but I couldn’t eat so much as I’ve had brunch at home. Thanx girls…

Later that day, Zue asked if we could have dinner, then due to uncertainty, Zue said it’s ok if we had to postpone the dinner. Kak Ilah was kinda busy too with appointment with a lecturer. I didn’t want to rush them into dinner just because it’s my birthday.

7.00pm – I was still in the lab. Then I thought ‘What am I doing in the lab all alone on my birthday??' I figured I should reward myself… so I planned to go for a movie alone.

...or maybe just a big meal… or maybe I should just go back home instead… Self-debating, I went back to my hostel. Ok.. maybe just take-away food… sounds good enough.

After shower… Zue called, saying that the dinner date was ON and she was coming out to pick me up. Later, Kak Ilah decided to join us too. Although I was kinda looking forward to my time alone, dinner with 2 BBs sound more fun :D Yeyeye.. dress up, dress up!

Almost 9pm, waited at the foyer, stomach growling… Outside the hostel, a stall selling some goreng-goreng stuff and ouh, I can’t fight the temptation of the smell of Chempedak Goreng… therefore I walked towards the aroma.

Bought RM2 worth of chempedak goreng, and Zue called.. finally! Can feel my tummy smiling in bliss… Walked back to the guard house looking for her car. Front, left and right - nada.

Turning around, across the street, I saw Zue.. Kak Ilah and... eh Aca ada skali…

“Surprise!!! Happy Birthday!!” they shouted out loud

HAHA… I was… Surprised! I didn’t expect them to hide behind the wall (gate). So cute laaa… Mischievously hiding.

I laughed… I almost sat middle of the road there, shocked and amused. Why Why… surprise tengah2 jalan? Hahahhaha…. I ran to them… and saw few more familiar faces hiding across the street, walking out comically from behind the TNB box… Mwahahhaa. Rash, Miem, Baim, Aini and Johnny. They gave me a cute cake and start singing the birthday song. Wehh… dun make me cry laaa...
We drove to Marin for dinner… Nando and Emme were there too :* Then came another surprise: A bigger birthday cake with candles burning wildly… and another song. Huhuuu… It turned out... they had planned this 2 days before. Waaa… flawless nyer! U peeps got me this time. I am surprised and didn’t expect all of it at all.

Terharu beb! Thank you BBs and YBs…

And I laughed reading their side of the story: (Written by Zue):

Pada hari kejadian, kak ilah kol, around 7.30pm. “zue…zle hilang”Kuang kuang kuang. Siapa Mengejut dan siapa Terkejut? It turns out, zle went back to her hostel for a shower. She wanted to cancel our dinner(how dare you!) and watch movie ALONE instead on her BIRTHDAY night! Nasib baik sempat kol her and told her that the dinner plan is ON and i am on my way. Kalo tak , mmg inilah kejutan paling terkejut dalam sejarah! Haha.

Akhirnya, tempat kejutan bertukar ke Hostel Tekun, tunggu zle turun dan jerit SURPRISE! Kejutan berlaku lewat sejam, iaitu pada pukul 9pm, dimana watak2 sampingan ada yg sembunyi belakang pokok(dgn super cute tapi lupa amik gambar), dan disebalik pagar(me n super bb). zle can’t keep still at the promised place, but instead choose to walk out to buy cempedak goreng, which just torture us even more as asyik kena berlari2 menyembunyikan diri. Cara kejutan berlaku adalah jerit “SURPRISE! HAPPY BDAY!” dengan kuat tanpa segan silu dan suspek menjadi terkejut, terduduk dan ketawa akhirnya. Hehe. Lepas tu, suspek dan watak sampingan bergerak utk mengisi perut.

And 2 days after that... our very own homey celebration. Ain and Aril bought me a cake?? Wow... ahakss.. I lap u too kiddoss and mia femilia.. muackss :*:*

Movie Star or a Queen?

Tiba - tiba saya jatuh cinta dengan POS Malaysia... jangan tak percaya... inilah penyebabnya:
  1. I just got my parcels... the items I bought from eBay has safely arrived my homie today... The crown and a watch. Yeyyy..... *square-dancing
  2. I have received a letter from Italy. From my very old penpal. Can you belive this, I am still in touch with my pen-friend using snail mail since 1995. I am sooooo excited and happppy.... coz the last time we corresponded was 2006.

Yahooo... I have a tiara crown... yeahhh... I wear it and I feel like a queen... Well, I bought it for wedding photoshoots... ain't I suppose to feel like a bride when I wear it? Nope, nope... not a bride, not even a princess... I feel like a Queen... *agak melampau :P~ (semestinya demam-Iggy Queen masih belum kebah)

This time around.... I have a newly recruitted model. He's purple... and willingly tried on the Tiara... no questions asked.

See... He does look happy, doesn't he?

Barney is such a sport, he gave me more than one pose. See.. different angle... and he kinda look excited, kan? Hehehe...

Smiling wide....
I love you... You love me... We are heppi femili.... wooot woot...

Not only I feel like a queen today... I feel like a movie star too!!
I just came back from 2 good friends' weddings. One, my schoolmate + roomate in matriculations. The other, roomate in matriculations + uni. Using Math Logic, A(A-->X) ^ A (A-->Y) . B (B-->Y) ^ B(B-->Z) =((A.B)-->Y) ?? Make sense? In summary, A (Rinaz) and B (Atun) knows each other coz all three of us plus another friend were roomates in matriculations. They are very close buddies... so it is kinda weird, funny, crazy that both got engaged on the same day (last year), nikah on the same day (yesterday), wedding on their reception on the same day (today), and the groom's reception on the same day (tomorrow). NO... they are not married to each other... :P (in case u are speculating, stop rite there :P)

Have you watched "Bride Wars" by Anne Hathaway + KateHudson. A+B didnt get into cat fights like in the movie, they are still good friends. However, Alisa and I played the supporting roles today....the friends. Running from one wedding to another, separated by 20-40 minutes driving, depending on the traffic. That's the movie-star role I had today :D:D *ouhhh.. the camera loves me.. klik klik klik... tenkiu tenkiu....

Last but not least...
Selamat Pengantin Baru Rinaz dan Atun ;-) :*

TestBed models to ensure my camera's not sleeping...

Test Photo-Shoot

Siapakah model testbed d300 kita kali ini? It's Kak Ilah dan Zue.

When I used d60, it was my first time using DSLR... before really owning it, ada la a few times playing around with Alisa's camera. D60 is kinda user-friendly. It just took a week to feel comfortable with the camera. The menu is also slightly similar to my Sony H1 semi-SLR, so I didn't have much trouble.

With D60, I was quite dependent on the default settings. I end up using Potrait,Landscape setting most of the time. The closest I was to advance setting was using the Program Mode.

Therefore.... upgrading to d300 is one of the steps I take to become more "advanced" (or maybe to make my life more complicated than it already is... hohohoho). D300 provide no default settings like D60 and D90. Transition is kinda smooth... Kind of... but shooting a photo has been trickier ever since.

I tend to get confused with the aparture and shutter settings...
Solution? More practise!

Thanks Ain.. haha... (jadi mangsa juga), Kak Ilah and Zue sudi menjadi bahan eksperimen dan model gua.

This photo, the color is a bit too saturated (opps... my mistake). I didn't change the setting (can be set in the camera menu) when I took this photo. I edited to make it look similar to the real color.

I need more practise on using Manual mode. Why is the focus range different here? Me have no answers yet. Need to look into it. Manual mode is supposed to produce better results, but that depends on how u set the parameters.... which I need to learn.

OK... enough of comparisons for now...

Need to Turun-Padang more often to test my new bebeh.

Hehe... My model, Zue. Hihi.. ini kali kedua Zue menjadi model testing saya, kerana masa d60 pun dia jugak menjadi model testing2 kamera saya. Hehe put this pixxie to show the lovely tree behind :P ahahha... u are lovely too, zue ;)

Errrr.... wait... In both photoshoots, D60 testshoot and D300 testshoot.... I wore skirts. Why eh? Trying to shoot in a challenging environment kot eh? Like how to shoot with a flowingg skirt attached to you? Pass the test, then you are good to go! Hmmm... Hahaha...

Ya laa... have to feel good about myself first rite... then only I'd be able to pass the 'chi' to people/objects that I enchanted into still-images maa. (save it! Don't need to clarify... they know u like to photogedix too, just admit it) :P

dancing to the throne

This week I did 2 unpredictable things...

1. I went to a camera shop to trade in my flash lite... I end up trading my D60 camera for a second-hand D300. My D60 buyer happened to be one of my friends I brought along to survey camera in the same shop. I misssss my D60 soooo so very much now...

2. I bought something from eBay.

Number 2 is a norm to some people... What is so unpredictable about buying things online? :P Well, it is for me. I am a very skeptical person. I don't think I can buy things I don't physically see. What is happening to me? Doing unpredictable things lately? Ayyaa....

Btw... I bought THIS!

HAHA...

I went to Forever 21, where Jane bought a tiara crown a few weeks ago. Found it. RM39.00. Nice... I liked it. But then, the tiara is not tudung-friendly. For someone wearing a tudung (hijjab), it will be impossible to keep the tiara still.

Since my "expertise" is on Malay wedding, and most my clients wear tudung, I needed a tiara that can fit them. Was not able to find it.

I need a Tiara to cater for outdoor shooting, in case the couple have returned their accessories back to the bridal house.

So I tried eBay. Found a few nice sites with some interesting tiara. I prefer something more simpler, but then I don't think too-simple will look outstanding for tudung, so I went for this one. I really hope it looks nice in real life... ?Need to wait another 1-2 weeks to verify that.

RM 20.00, plus shipment and insurance = RM52.00. Ok laa kan...

I wanted to buy this one. If you notice, there's a heart shape in the middle. It is also simple and fancy at the same time. Eh.... wait!! Why didn't I buy this one??? I am confused! I think it's because it was still on bidding, I didnt want to risk losing it in a bidding... so I went for the one I bought. Huhu....

I like this one: SIMPLE! But looking at it a few times.... it looked more like a hairband than a crown. But I like it... simple and clean. Will look perfect on elegant/contemporary hair-do.

Hehe... was one of my considerations. It has a classic look, but then it won't fit with Malay attires very well. A bit too medieval and too fancy.

Then I saw this... A butterfly? I hope no one wears this for a wedding photoshoot... hihi...

There are some pinky stuff that caught my eyes... I like this one. I think this one is cute, it'll look sweet on a soft/classical hairdo and also will suit garden concepts.
I get so carried away.... tsk tsk tsk....
Weihhh..... Crown shopping is FUN lah !!!!

:D

Post-trauma...

[Topic 1: Teater]Was in KL… watched Puteri Gunung Ledang, the musical.

Since it was just a few days after my accident, I brought along some bruises, body felt heavy, walked very slow. On our way back, I Zue helped me carry one of my bags… Thanks yaa.. (but I really cannot carry it, when in normal conditions, I can carry triple the size and walk like lipas kudung with that)

I had mild chest pain after the trip, while shopping with my parents. I was like… apa ni?? Post-trauma lagi ker? Then I remembered the flight attendant’s announcement upon landing, “yadda..yadda… we have landed 20 minutes earlier from the scheduled time… yadda yadda…” Yaa.. imagine! And yes… bumpy RIDE it was… so I know where my post-trauma came from.

Ouh the theatre - berbaloi pergi

Suka…. Sebab saya suka Sejarah… cita-cita nak jadi paleontologist… tapi lepas tau Malaysia takde dinosaur… terpaksa lah tukar cita-cita….

yang menariknya, ada MAGIS! Ada org lesap2 begitu saja… kagum pak! And the trick menjadi… sebab we olls yang duduk upper circle pun tak nampak any flaws in the tricks…

Dari pandangan seorang penonton yang penghayatan seninya adalah hanya paras-paras beginner:
  1. Tiara as Gusti Putri - lakonan & nyanyian mantap
  2. A.C Mizal as Adipati - Suara dia convincing
  3. Bayan (siapa ye yang jadi Bayan ni?) - Captivating vocal.
  4. Mat Salleh celup as Hang tuah - menyanyi sedap.. pitching hebat! Lakonan… erm… I dunno… wajah kurang asia agak menganggu penghayatan :P
  5. Aman Ramli as Sultan Mahmud - Lakonan ok, tarian pun ok. But I personally think, watak tu mcm perlu ada umph lagi as a Sultan…
Terima kasih @ Thankssz:
  1. Host perumahan dan pengangkutan… Dayah….
  2. Bullert mengambil kitorg dari Jusco Sri Kembangan ke Istana Budaya… walhal tak tahu jalan (trima kasih gprs juga)
  3. Kakak ku, abg ipaq dan shameem yg chumels... shameem sudah pandai mengomel, mem-potpet, mhiburkan hatiku tatkala malam sabtu menjelma...

[Topic 2: Klik and Snapz]

I am so happy and relieved at the same time. I finished editing Emme and Nando’s album… sneak preview (from outdoor):
Cropped some:

This one taken in Georgetown, Penang. Hmmm somewhere near Armenian Street. We pulled over and snap-snap!

This pulak in Weld Quay (Pengkalan Weld), Penang Jetty area.... Like the White-Blue combination :D :D

Haha... This Photoshoot also involved fellow Parlimail members... group outdoor Shoot. Where in some layout, gave them limelite... but stilll... highlite goes to Pengantin yer... hahaha...

This place is known as Cheah Si Sek Tek Tong. It's a temple plus traditional chinese heritage house. Love the interior... I have an obsession for chinese temple and chinese traditional building archi and interior...

Smile with your eyes

as a wedding photographer... what matters most is capturing moments...
so it's kinda different from model/fashion photoshoots which I have no experience in.

I watch ANTM, and love the way they shoot... first.. their photo gadgets... then, the output where the photos always turn out superb... and most importantly, the models and how they model. I bet most of us who follow the series are familiar with Tyra Banks' favorite quote "Smile with your eyes" :D

So here's an Experiment on "smile with your eyes"

First One: not smiling with the eyes....

Second: SMiLin with the EyEs...

Make-up by Janediva :-P

Hahahha.... I have one week to prektis smiling with my eyes... :D:D:D

I'm a specky....

Huhu... I hate to wear spectacles. I love to look at people wearing them, but I don't like to put them on. I told myself I am not going to wear glasses, and if I really need to do so, I'd go for contact lenses.

Just like how I announced to people I would never use Nokia (because at that time, too many people using Nokia)... then I end up with Nokia... until now.. even when people start to opt for other mobile series.

This week... I end up making a pair of glasses for myself.

Out of confusion (from the machine test) it showed my power had gone high, and I ordered the glasses before the real test.

After the real test, the results came out like this.

Right Eye : farsightedness +25 astigmatism +50
Left Eye: farsightedness 0 astigmatism +25

Huh... Not so high kan... Do I need the glasses eh? Deep down inside, I wanted to walk out without my brand new glasses. But then, the reason I did the check-up was, I had problem reading from presentation slides and driving at night. Yes... astig! I wanted to get glasses to ease my eyes from straining so much. Vision... I can read words but sometimes they seem to be smudged. Even the lights seemed smudged when I drive at nite, need to squint my eyes.

Huhu.... contact lenses? No... I'm not ready for that... UWaaaa.... so have to wear glasses jugak!... waawaaa...

I hate to wear glasses coz I was never able to find a suitable frame for my face. I don't even own a sunglass for the same reason. Everytime I try to look for a suitable one, I end up disappointed. Too picky kot? Haha... so now... nak tak nak... kena pick one... Pilih punya pilih... I end up choosing this one, coz I think this frame with lighter color makes me look softer :P~ others make me look so garang... and ouh... it's PINK... haha...

opppss... ter-pose kontrol ayu pulakss..... bagi memastikan tak nampak garang gitu... huhu

Haha.. I plan to wear it only when I'm driving and attend classes/talks... and maybe sometimes when I use the computer.

Ouh... I know it's a petty issue... bit too dramatic... adoiiii.... But... uwaaaaa.... Me have to wear speck di... uwaauhuhu....

Thanx Acha (alisa) and Aca (aisyah) sbb teman, bg pendapat dan beri sokongan moral!! :D:P~ *and Zue BB, tenkiu (huhu mcm mana bleh termiss-out nie,) :* biks...

Quote daripada Zue "what happen when your friend get married...and hire your friend as the photographer?chances are........you can tag along and help out...sayyyy...... pegang payung bila hujan? dan juga menjadi model sambilan demi memeriahkan gambar... yeeee haaaa.... "

Yaaa.... betul.... ini lah hasil model sambilan in action:

great minds think alike

Insiden #1

Hehehehe…. lepas dah upload the display image… chat2 halfway… kak ilah terperasan yg kitorg ada persamaan begini… ahakss.. Welll, then… enuff said :D~

Insiden #2
insiden nombot dua ini sbnrnya berlaku dulu.. pagi tadi. masa menunggu alisa dtg.. flipping thru some research papers… and found this:

waaarkh…. tidak…. ain lekat stickers kt kertas nie… bulatan atas.. di mana dia lekat then tarik kuar.. so a bit koyak.. bulatan kedua.. cebisan sticker yg dikoyak… dan bulatan ketiga.. sticker tersebut…

going thru some other papers… and i got these two:

warkhhhh…… nehi nehi… meriah nyer research paper ini… colorful sgt… hmmm its tooo cute for me to get angry… in fact i was dok gelak-gelak looking at her “creativity”

i wud have done the same thing if I’m 4… i just love stickerss… like her.. n her mom (who used to start the trend of hobi mengumpul stickers last time kt skolah rendah time tue)

okies… sekian sahaja post saya kali ini….
tuuu oodless :*

when is your turn

Summarised/shortened from previous blog
aku teringat kat satu post dalam blog kawanku berkenaan isu ni… ehhehe… cebisan dari post asalnya:

oh ya. i have a question for you guys. more like a survey..... do you have any typical answer for answering question " bila nak kawen?" or "when is your turn?" come on..let's find a good answer that is good enuf which will stop the same person to ask the same question again .

knowledge sharing kt sini… bleh mengembangkan kreativiti anda2 yg melalui situasi yang sama bila asik ditnaya org soklan2 ni…
Aku dan kawan-kawan Miss Bo mbalas di ruang komen.. bagi suggestion
-------------------------------------------------------------
[H]
mesti ade jawapan yg berbeza mengikut sape yg tanye..
kalo mak/family tanye jawab "mak tlg la cari kan..."
kalo bos tanye jawab "im wanna build my career first"
kalo kawan2 tanye jawab "aku tunggu ko kawin dulu" kalau die dah kawin ckp "aku tunggu ko kawin lagi satu.." kui6...
general answer "insyaallah, sampai jodoh nanti kawin la (jwb dgn senyuman yg manis)"

[R]
my favorite answer is " menjadi bisu and smile only"indirectly ppl know that i'm not interested to talk bout the subject ;)
if kwn2 baik ckp dgn hati yg ikhlas lar kenapa..other than that..heheh senyum jelar tanpa berkata apa2

[F]
i always tell people that "ooo aku kawen cuti sekolah" dgn muka selamba.that normally effectively menutup mulut diorang pun.
im not telling a lie.. i'll get married time cuti sekolah. cuma tahun bila tu jer tak tau lagi =P

[Z]
As for myself, bila orang tanya ahaks, dulu aku jawab "InsyaAllah tahun depan" ... sekarang jawapan terbaru:"InsyaAllah I planned to settle down before 2009" muahahah.Aku telah praktikkan beberapa kali yang pastinya telah membuat mereka speechless .. Bak kata hang, jawab kena confident =)

[my comment]

verbal ones:

positip thinker
"It will happen when it happens"
"InsyaAllah, ada jodoh tak ke mana"
"It will be a surprise"
"Tungguuuuuuu" sambil mulut termuncung kerana panjang dengungnya

diversion
"laa maak, kita nak jaga mak laa" dgn tersenyum manis
"tak stabil lagi...nak kumpul duit dulu"
"nak beli kete lagi 2 bijik dulu"
"oh my god, do u know... the petrol price has just increased... bla... bla.. " Psst.. tukar topik ;)

not so interested
"i'm sorry... it's my personal matter which i prefer not to discuss"
"err.. not interested" dengan gaya poyo dan vogue/bimbo :P so org dah maleh nak tanya
"none of ur business" dengan gaya poyo sama sprti di atas
"hahahahhahahahhahahaaaa" a big fat sarcastic laugh

non-verbal:
senyum separuh, sebelah bibir aje la kiranya
sengih
sengih, kali ni smapai nampak gusi skali
angkat kening cam dgn maksud "ahh-haaa"
angkat kening gaya the rock dgn maksud "ko takde mende lain ke nak tanya"
lambai tangan, dengan gaya kiut dan poyo, dan cpat2 blah dari situ
-------------------------------------------------
So kepada mereka2 yang dah kekeringan idea... bleh la cedok2 :P~ okes... goodluck dengan candangan2 tersebut.. :D

To be or not to be... BeAutiLiCious...

Mia favourite quotes on beauty:

~Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder~
~Beauty is only interesting when it is debatable ~

I believe everyone is beautiful in their own way... in some ways... It can be your eyes, your nose, your body, your complexion…. It can be your posture, your words, your manner, your confidence… It can even be your gentleness, your humbleness, your shyness, your softness… or it can be your boldness, your braveness, your thinking, your intelligence… also, it can be your thoughtfulness, your kindness, your compassion, or even your outlook.

Most of us are so entrapped with beauty in synonym with some stereotypes. We think being beautiful is only on how we look attractive and perfect physically. Judging from the external, yes, it is important to make yourself look presentable. Look neat and nice to the eyes. But do not try too hard just to look beautiful. Carry yourself well and people will be pleased having you around.

I categorize myself as the ‘Average Jane’. I don’t think I have got compliments like “WAH, YOU SOOO BEAUTIFULL LAAA”, but maybe sometimes on my dress, sometimes on how I look vibrant than usual. If I get compliments, they are bizarre ones like, your lips are thin, they are adorable; you are unique, or your draculla teeth is your asset… huh what?? Haha… Actually, I am happy with my look. However, maybe I should work on my complexion, get rid of the acnes and stuff like that. But other than that, I wouldn’t ask for more.

When I look at other girls who are beautiful, I will be impressed, but I don’t go to the extent of envying them. Beauty is made so stereotype anyway. For me, beauty is just like an accessory glued to a person (be it male or female). What’s more important is the essence – who is the person inside the accessory? Does he/she carry him/herself well? (isk isk ada gaya cam ibu mertua tak?.. :P) Actually, I think I never had a crush on drop dead gorgeous guys before lah. I am more likely to be attracted to the low-profile guys. I dunno why, am I normal or not?

Some are very much concerned about beauty and about having to be beautiful.... on the other hand, some have feeling of inferiority about themselves. Usually when you are in some kind of special relationship, you start thinking about importance of being beautiful. Your mere intention is to look attractive in his eyes but technically you might think beauty can help to secure the relationship to last longer. You tend to feel inferior even with your slightest flaws. Have you ever experienced any of these? i guess it's normal, huh

I have heard people say; women are willing to torture themselves in order to look beautiful to men. We wear high-heels – not good for our backbone. We wear corsets. We paint our faces with chemicals. We go for the torturous wax sessions. We go on diets… etc. (feminists may disagree with this statement... but this is what we hear most of the time... )

Sometimes we just want to look good and feel good about ourselves. It is not all about impressing others but more of self-satisfaction. But we cannot deny the fact that: Women want to impress men (and vise versa)… or impress only the certain someone in our lives. Am I beautiful in his/her eyes? Am I attractive enough? What he/she sees in me?

But, is physical beauty the only thing you want him to see in you? Or you use your beauty to make sure he stays? So that he stays long enough to make him understand and get to know you in-person. If he stays because he loves you for who you are, you are so blessed. But if he stays because you look beautiful enough to make him stay, beautiful enough to make him stand all your kerenah, beautiful enough to make him pretend he understands you. Then what happens if one day, he wakes up in the morning, and finds that you don’t look beautiful anymore in his eyes. He can’t seem to figure out why he had put up with you all these years. What will happen then?

Beauty is appealing, but it is more important that he is attracted to your manner, your mindset, your strength and believes in you.

Some of us are so beauty- conscious that we keep on complaining about some flaws that we think are destroying our beauty. Some of us compare ourselves to some superstars or supermodels and keep on wondering why we can’t be like them. So, if it ever crosses your mind, maybe this piece will help –trying to think positively within the negative vibes you have.

10 POYO-reasons why you should be happy you are not drop dead gorgeous
  1. You don’t have to serabut your kepala to choose from pool of guys going after you.
  2. Not many will be jealous of you or envy you :P
  3. You don’t have to worry about a ‘bad hair day’ or a ‘day of fashion disaster’, because not likely anyone will notice that anyway.
  4. You will tend to work on your other strong points to make up to the good looks you think you lack in, i.e. Public relations skills, communications,...
  5. You are likely to be a humble person. (but depend also laa)
  6. When someone fall in love with you, you are more convinced that he fell for the-real you, your soul, your thoughts and your self, not because of your looks or maybe your popularity. (and make sure you are not “the bank”) hehe…
  7. When you achieve something successfully (especially in your career), people usually look up to you, declaring it’s from your own effort and capabilities, not because of your looks or beauty.
  8. You can feel safer in some ways, like maybe lower possibilities of being attacked by some stalkers, or even the Romeo(s)… haha…
  9. Your lover or spouse won’t feel insecure, so you won’t be burdened with extreme jealousy. Equals to = = more freedom, hoorah….
  10. You have a very GOOD and STRONG reason to buy more cosmetics, more beautiful dresses (to beautify yourself and your appearance). THIS means MORE shopping…!!! Yahoo!!!
So, let’s not be sad if we are not one of the attractive eye-candies. Cherish the benefits that we get from being not-so-beautiful.

No actually… whether you are beautiful or not (physically or stereotypically)… the most important thing is that you are beautiful inside. When you are happy with your self…. you bring out the best in you. No matter how your “accessory” looks like… you still look beautiful in the eyes of people that matters.
