Marilah kita menampal Poster untuk berkempen...

Ok ... i'm bored... and I cant sleep... i hope by the time I end this post.. my eyes will turn panda-ishh... pleasseee do... pleasee...

Ran into this 'poster' I did last year while browsing thru my other fotopage.
This one taken during our Kerachut trip.
I wanted to portray these guys differently with a konon-konon catchy line.

these guys are different from each other.. only similarities I can think of, all 3 of them got married last year :D haha...
Of cos.. all of us... We ARE Different... (unless u want to be a some copycat material... which u should not... coz u should define ur own personalities without being clouded by other external entities... ) ok.. I am crapping to make myself doze off... haha.. nice try, azleena... (duh.. and now... i'm taking to myself?)

Anyways... I have some series of this so called posters, but I never had them labelled as posters or put together in a folder ke apa laa... They just end up in any folders they came from...

Hehehe.. Yaa.. sebenarnya... Itulah hobi saya... mengedit gambar untuk menggembirakan hati sendiri... Huhuhu...
Some end-up as this so-called posters version

Uitss... kenapa itu "see-no-evil" curi tulang ka? itu curi-curi tgk jugak? evill too tempting eh?

some just a normal photo, edited with some effects on...

Let's look at my feverets...from my oldies archive.
Like this one: (candid shot)... Love this.. her expression is just so intense and like looking into the future gitu...
Or this... (posed version) this one didnt go thru extreme editing.. haha.. I came across this picture and remembered how much I love it... showing the model in you, Jane... so naturale, walla...

Ouh... and I also have errrr.... ciplak versions of "sound-alike" movie posters... hope this does not fall into a copyright crime or anything... yaa.. like this one: (anyone can make another movie with this name rite? kan... kan?) huhu
This title, for sure... not taken yet... so any interested producers?? Pelakon dah ada nie :D

Haha.. great... Mataku sudah mula layu... yeahhh... jom titok... yeeehaaaa......

We have Sakura too....hehehe

I saw Aan's title of her latest blog post: Sakura is blooming!!!!

Yes, she's going to Japan (tonite) to enjoy Sakura season (honeymoon). I don't mean to mencabar her version of Sakura :P but.. I have to do this: tell n inform all of you that... we have our very own version of Sakura here.... yes here... in PENANG :P hohohoho

I got this email few weeks ago, with some photos of some so-called 'Sakura' trees blooming all out of sudden this year. I am still not sure what kind of trees they really are (need to google in depth ni)

It's someone's photos... i dunno whose... not mentioned in the email...

As you can see... sakura-alike trees on sideways in penang :D Near Pisa (Bayan Baru-Relau area)

Close-up photos... this is courtesy of http://cuttlefishhand.blogspot.com/2009/03/blog-post.html (also circulated in emails).

Zue and Nando both forwarded these emails, (must be from Intel-ians), to bring out my camera the get some shots... I wanted to... but couldnt find the time.

Then, I was assiggned as Rinaz's outdoor photographer... I thought I can drop by this place for some shots... but we were running out of time, and it started to rain heavily in the evening. On our way back, Rinaz dropped by her office in Prai to meet her colleagues... and guess what... these trees were there! And not only there, but in front a masjid and housing area nearby my house too... Wow... now... it's everywhere in Penang (mainland and island) and also along the highways... towards Kedah. Not sure about other place though...

Unfortunately, it was drizzling... so we couldnt take many shots. Soon after, it started raining heavily... so no close-up shots of the treess... ehehhe...

So... yey... we have Sakura treesss.... Para-para sakura!

TestBed models to ensure my camera's not sleeping...

Test Photo-Shoot

Siapakah model testbed d300 kita kali ini? It's Kak Ilah dan Zue.

When I used d60, it was my first time using DSLR... before really owning it, ada la a few times playing around with Alisa's camera. D60 is kinda user-friendly. It just took a week to feel comfortable with the camera. The menu is also slightly similar to my Sony H1 semi-SLR, so I didn't have much trouble.

With D60, I was quite dependent on the default settings. I end up using Potrait,Landscape setting most of the time. The closest I was to advance setting was using the Program Mode.

Therefore.... upgrading to d300 is one of the steps I take to become more "advanced" (or maybe to make my life more complicated than it already is... hohohoho). D300 provide no default settings like D60 and D90. Transition is kinda smooth... Kind of... but shooting a photo has been trickier ever since.

I tend to get confused with the aparture and shutter settings...
Solution? More practise!

Thanks Ain.. haha... (jadi mangsa juga), Kak Ilah and Zue sudi menjadi bahan eksperimen dan model gua.

This photo, the color is a bit too saturated (opps... my mistake). I didn't change the setting (can be set in the camera menu) when I took this photo. I edited to make it look similar to the real color.

I need more practise on using Manual mode. Why is the focus range different here? Me have no answers yet. Need to look into it. Manual mode is supposed to produce better results, but that depends on how u set the parameters.... which I need to learn.

OK... enough of comparisons for now...

Need to Turun-Padang more often to test my new bebeh.

Hehe... My model, Zue. Hihi.. ini kali kedua Zue menjadi model testing saya, kerana masa d60 pun dia jugak menjadi model testing2 kamera saya. Hehe put this pixxie to show the lovely tree behind :P ahahha... u are lovely too, zue ;)

Errrr.... wait... In both photoshoots, D60 testshoot and D300 testshoot.... I wore skirts. Why eh? Trying to shoot in a challenging environment kot eh? Like how to shoot with a flowingg skirt attached to you? Pass the test, then you are good to go! Hmmm... Hahaha...

Ya laa... have to feel good about myself first rite... then only I'd be able to pass the 'chi' to people/objects that I enchanted into still-images maa. (save it! Don't need to clarify... they know u like to photogedix too, just admit it) :P

Post-trauma...

[Topic 1: Teater]Was in KL… watched Puteri Gunung Ledang, the musical.

Since it was just a few days after my accident, I brought along some bruises, body felt heavy, walked very slow. On our way back, I Zue helped me carry one of my bags… Thanks yaa.. (but I really cannot carry it, when in normal conditions, I can carry triple the size and walk like lipas kudung with that)

I had mild chest pain after the trip, while shopping with my parents. I was like… apa ni?? Post-trauma lagi ker? Then I remembered the flight attendant’s announcement upon landing, “yadda..yadda… we have landed 20 minutes earlier from the scheduled time… yadda yadda…” Yaa.. imagine! And yes… bumpy RIDE it was… so I know where my post-trauma came from.

Ouh the theatre - berbaloi pergi

Suka…. Sebab saya suka Sejarah… cita-cita nak jadi paleontologist… tapi lepas tau Malaysia takde dinosaur… terpaksa lah tukar cita-cita….

yang menariknya, ada MAGIS! Ada org lesap2 begitu saja… kagum pak! And the trick menjadi… sebab we olls yang duduk upper circle pun tak nampak any flaws in the tricks…

  1. Tiara as Gusti Putri - lakonan & nyanyian mantap
  2. A.C Mizal as Adipati - Suara dia convincing
  3. Bayan (siapa ye yang jadi Bayan ni?) - Captivating vocal.
  4. Mat Salleh celup as Hang tuah - menyanyi sedap.. pitching hebat! Lakonan… erm… I dunno… wajah kurang asia agak menganggu penghayatan :P
  5. Aman Ramli as Sultan Mahmud - Lakonan ok, tarian pun ok. But I personally think, watak tu mcm perlu ada umph lagi as a Sultan…
Terima kasih @ Thankssz:
  1. Host perumahan dan pengangkutan… Dayah….
  3. Kakak ku, abg ipaq dan shameem yg chumels... shameem sudah pandai mengomel, mem-potpet, mhiburkan hatiku tatkala malam sabtu menjelma...

[Topic 2: Klik and Snapz]

I am so happy and relieved at the same time. I finished editing Emme and Nando’s album… sneak preview (from outdoor):
Cropped some:

This one taken in Georgetown, Penang. Hmmm somewhere near Armenian Street. We pulled over and snap-snap!

This pulak in Weld Quay (Pengkalan Weld), Penang Jetty area.... Like the White-Blue combination :D :D

Haha... This Photoshoot also involved fellow Parlimail members... group outdoor Shoot. Where in some layout, gave them limelite... but stilll... highlite goes to Pengantin yer... hahaha...

This place is known as Cheah Si Sek Tek Tong. It's a temple plus traditional chinese heritage house. Love the interior... I have an obsession for chinese temple and chinese traditional building archi and interior...

Smile with your eyes

as a wedding photographer... what matters most is capturing moments...
so it's kinda different from model/fashion photoshoots which I have no experience in.

I watch ANTM, and love the way they shoot... first.. their photo gadgets... then, the output where the photos always turn out superb... and most importantly, the models and how they model. I bet most of us who follow the series are familiar with Tyra Banks' favorite quote "Smile with your eyes" :D

So here's an Experiment on "smile with your eyes"

First One: not smiling with the eyes....

Second: SMiLin with the EyEs...

Make-up by Janediva :-P

Hahahha.... I have one week to prektis smiling with my eyes... :D:D:D

Klik and Kebooooffff

Mari kita lakukan sedikit magis!

Gambar pertama:

Zam zam ala kazammmm..... keboooofffff !!!!!!!!!!

how we wish eh?

Oh ya... jangan lupa buka Adobe photoshop nyer dulu. Ok... marilah kita memulakan operasi pengklonan XYXX#$2331...
  1. Buka Fail gambar yang nak di-sunting... gagaga... edit=sunting kan?

(Mode: Normal) Kalau opsyen lain, susah sikit mahu memberus

Contoh:

Can u tell who's been cloned? I was the first photographer and the second photographer took this photo. Later, I cloned her. I am so glad I need not use chemical substance / formula to perform Cloning :P~ gegeggee

Klik Klik * I gotcha!

i LOVE photos… digital or printed… especially if a photo has a story to tell.

Since I was small kid, I loved to look at photos very much. Growing up, I’d still be looking at photos of yesteryears and remembering the times they were taken… I dunno, maybe this has helped me in keeping the memories fresh in my head.

In my teenage years, I remember I was always nagged at, by my elder sister, if the photos I took did not have nice angles. Especially when she was in Form 5, I had to take a lot of her self portrait (she wanted to put on friends’ autographs). Her complaints had me on guard everytime I took pictures of people. Center! Balanced! Focused!

I also started to develop love for photos from hi-definition cameras. At that time, manual SLR. Alisa used a SLR since she was 13. Looking at her developed photos, wow… admiration. I thought “hmmm.. bila lah aku leh amik gambaq cun macam ni aaa”. Then, I came across bunch of photos Jessie took, I was mesmerised, which led to, me chasing her for editorial board… hihiihih… I really admire their photography.

For my sis’ matriculation’s graduation, my dad borrowed his collegue’s SLR since our camera was out of order. I was salivating over it, and immediately took control. Hihihi.. konfiden je lebih… But, not all the pictures turned out ok. Malu jek.. hahahaa…

Jump a few years… while I was doing degree, in midst of completing programming assignments and chasing project dues, I found myslef glued to the computer, creating super-imposed photos. Yaa.. talk about spending too much time on computers! :P I nearly got in trouble because of that. After that, I became more sensitive on editing people, because some people may get hurt if we simply brush off or brush in certain things. On the other hand, that gave me a head-start for photo editing.

Then, digital cameras came in the market, but not many owned it yet. I remember Dindi was among the first one having this gadget so we had some digital photos of degree year… thanks to her camera and also bukh’s desa harapan’s camera :P~ Remembering it now… ahaha.. even most of my convocation photos were taken using film-roll camera… hihihi..

After working for about one year… motivated by Alisa’s , I bought a semi-SLR (Sony-H1).

My very own camera… I was sooo excited. Tak henti-henti klik sana klik sini… Never have I planned to do wedding photos. At first, I was only a tag-along photographer, usually providing company to Alisa, who started doing wedding shots using her manual SLR and semi-SLR.

A few months later, Kak Haira gave me her trust to cover her wedding as the official photographer. With my semi-SLR, I took the challenge. From the feedbacks I’ve got, I started to take more challenges, covering weddings even from people who are not in my networks.
At first, I felt stiff, at times a bit shy. I was more gabra than the groom for nikah ceremony… worried if I might missed the most important shot, the akad itself. After some time, I gained more and more confidence. Although, I tend to have gabra-ness every now and then… i’d be recovering fast.

Editing is more tiring than shooting. It involves time and effort… and that can also mean taking away some of the precious times allocated for other things. Perfecting the skills is a must… therefore, I am still learning… As for photography, my Lighting still needs a lot of practise n learning.

Maintanence is also high. Switching to DSLR-Nikon D60 which I currently shoot with, took months of saving. Since I don’t charge as much as professional photographers, I do not earn that much. So maintanence and upgrading has to take months of saving. Yaa.. like many people say, Photography is an expensive hobby… yeahhh.. IT IS! I can buy a big new fridge for my family at the price of a new lense. Hard labour u see… heheheheehe…

But… why I am taking all these trouble… I should say challenge… Trouble sounds so negative lak.

It’s all in the name of Love and Passion :D:D

I quote my sis “Tu la pakwe dia sejati, bawak ke hulu hilir” refering to my camera… hohohoh..oh ya pakwe lama, Sony masih dihatiku… tak sampai hati nak jual balik.
