Getting Older is not Taboo :D

Some signs that “You think age is catching up and it's an issue for you”:
  • You feel overly flattered and excited when people mistake you to be younger than your age
  • You refuse or feel reluctant to answer when people ask your age
  • You are always in denial about your age

Some Young Women in their late twenties consider themselves getting older and everything around them just gets old correspondingly. Some think they are at the top of the world and in the prime time of their lives. And some don’t even bother about this issue until they bump into someone in late thirties and feel so young… or someone who just got out from high school and start to feel ancient.

Why late twenties young women?
Because most of my friends and I are fall in that category :P :P

What is age, and what does the increase of it mean to you? Do you associate it with biological aging like wrinkles, lose of brain cells, reduce in metabolism bla bla… or do you look at it in a more positive angle like maturing, sophistication, superiority and wisdom? :D

It’s funny how my friends and I talk about this over coffee. It is indeed an ISSUE eh… LOL :))

yes, I get flattered when people mistake me for an undergraduate student in early twenties… Haha… and ouh, I get that all the time :P Then again, sometimes people do give me that round shocked face when I tell them I am still studying… you know… that “aren’t you like suppose to be having a solid career?” look.

Oh yeah… I am pretty sure I'm doing what I want to / have to at this point of my life. So, what I've learnt so far...

I've learnt that...life is indeed full of surprises
but,
I've also learnt that...'life full of surprises' also means not everything happened the way we planned or wanted.

on top of dat,
I've learnt that...happiness is not only about getting one wants, but also cherishing what one has...

Akhir Kata,

Love to Learn from past…Learn to Love today…
Keep Learning and Loving in the future
*_*

P/S: Hehe, I guess this is another post-birthday entry from me :D

  1. Hear hear!
I think it is not only important to cherish maturity that comes with age, but also to avoid being jaded, cynical or to think less of younger people.
In other words, a balancing act of practicing 'wisdom' without losing our childlike curious outlook of life & of the world :)

    Just my dua kupang, haha.
